You see, the second work of grace is the ability to become who God designed us to be. Vine’s Expository Dictionary adds this definition of grace to the saving grace that delivers us from sin back into relationship with God. According to it, grace is also:

. . . the spiritual state of those who have experienced its exercise, whether (1) a state of “grace,” . . . or (2) a proof thereof in practical effects, deeds of “grace,” . . . (the sum of earthly blessings); the power and equipment for ministry.3
